Diablo III: Ultimate Evil in Development for Xbox One

It’s just been revealed that Diablo III: Ultimate Evil is currently in development for the Xbox One. That being said, a release on Microsoft‘s Xbox One has still yet to be agreed upon, as Diablo 3 Lead Producer, Alex Mayberry, explained to Videogamer.

I don’t know where we are with Microsoft right now so I can’t really comment on what that contract looks like

We have that pipeline worked out. We’ve already done it with the 360 and PS3, so that team knows how to develop at the same time for both of those platforms. That’s just what we do. And then Blizzard and Microsoft can work out whatever they work out.

The point is we are developing for Xbox [One] and PS4 simultaneously. We hit those major platforms and then our goal as a development team is to make them run.

Additionally, he also explained that the PS4 release should follow shortly after that of the PC, which will be on March 25th (tomorrow!).

It’s not far off… [The console team] work in parallel development with us so they’re not far behind.
