Developers Address Dark Souls II Graphic Concerns
Prior to the launch of From Software‘s latest Dark Souls installment, Dark Souls II, fans all around the globe waited in anticipation for their seemingly inevitable deaths. I mean, it even warns players on the case to ‘prepare to die’.
Well, after the release of the sequel, fans have been somewhat concerned in regards to the graphical downgrade compared to that of its predecessor. From Software has now just responded to these concerns, stating the following:
Throughout the game development process, a game is constantly being balanced not only in game playability, but also in the realm of resource management.
A developer is always challenged with creating the most rewarding gaming experience while delivering continuity in graphical quality, gameplay dynamics, and balance within the game. The final version of Dark Souls II displays the culmination of this delicate balance and we’re very proud of the positive media and fan reception for the game.
Such an answer is unlikely to placate the rage of some hardcore gamers, but there is still hope that the PC version, scheduled for late April, will maintain the graphic splendor originally seen in the first screenshots of Dark Souls II. The game is absolutely great even on PS3 and Xbox 360 anyway, as you can read in our review.
