Infamous Second Son Has Reportedly Much Better IQ Than In Videos
A few hours ago we shared with you a very interesting video report from a Polish presentation of Infamous: Second Son. The gameplay footage is self explaining, of course, but the journalist actually speaks a lot about the game before and after the footage. Still, since we don’t understand Polish, we couldn’t enlighten you on his thoughts until now. Neogaf user FeiRR just provided a brief translation of the main points addressed in his speech:
- graphics are very detailed and crisp, online videos and screenshot aren’t good representation of the IQ (it’s better)
- traversal is very smooth and fun to do
- attention to small things: when you stand next to stairs, Delsin puts one foot on a step
- difficulty setttings change the way you play. he gives an example of neon focus (while zooming in with L2) which allows you to aim precisely and do headshots. on normal it has a slow-down, on higher difficulty it doesn’t. press demo had godmode on.
- neon smudge is O while running
- smoke powers seem to be more close quarters style while neon powers are better for longer distance shots.
- very positive review in general (the guy played the previous 2 games and says that it’s the same thing but improved)
It’s good to know that even the videos don’t really do justice to Infamous: Second Son’s graphics prowess. Many have been calling this the first true next generation game in terms of detail and effects (lighting, particles etc.), and I can’t wait to check it out myself next week. Did you preorder already? The game is coming out on March 21, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
