Titanfall won’t have Season Pass and Split-Screen
This may come as a surprise, but it has been confirmed that Titanfall will not have any kind of Season Pass. Considering it’s an online multiplayer focused FPS experience (more accurately: multiplayer only), it’s even more surprising that we won’t be getting Season Pass as the FPS genre is famous for pushing them (we are looking at you, Call of Duty and Battlefield, but others quickly adapted to it as well).
It’s a nice refreshment considering the season pass and microtransactions plague that has taken over the gaming industry. However, no Season Pass doesn’t exclude the possibility of releasing DLC content at some point, which we are expecting to see.
This probably (and unfortunately) won’t come as a surprise: Titanfall will have no split-screen mode, so there is no need for buying an extra controller. It seems that days of split-screen couch fun are slowly going away, as fewer and fewer games support it.
