Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Coming to Consoles!

It was just revealed from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today, that Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate-Deluxe Edition will be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC platforms, after the debut on handheld devices. On April 2nd, players will go batty over this high-resolution Batman installment, with all the familiar gameplay mechanics and story dynamic. As of right now, it seems that this handheld port will only be available for digital download; since no talk has been mentioned of a retail release.

Players can download it via PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo eShop, as well as Steam for a whopping £15.99 (about $26 for U.S. residents). The story of Blackgate takes place three months after the events of Arkham Origins. When a suspicious explosion is heard in Blackgate Prison, the Joker, Penguin, and Black Mask gather recruits to take over their own section of the prison. When a young, naive Bat goes to investigate the prison, he comes to find out that this uprising isn’t what he thought it was.
