Sniper Elite 3 May Run Slower on Xbox One

It’s always been a given, that when titles release on multiple platforms, there’s always going to be one version that will run smoother, faster, and just all around better. Well, with Rebellion’s latest tactical shooter, Sniper Elite 3, this is just the case. It’s been discovered, as of late, that Sniper Elite 3 may run slower on Microsoft’s Xbox One, as opposed to Sony’s PlayStation 4. It’s been revealed that several other major titles, such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag, and Tomb Raider all run smoother on the PlayStation 4 as well. So, the fact that yet another title has been added to this list, isn’t a huge surprise.

During a recent Sniper 3 event, 505 Games’ Senior Producer, Jean-Baptiste Bolcato explained that, “Well as close as possible to 60 frames per second on both the systems, it will probably be closer to 60 on the PS4 but it drops to around 40 and 50, but you won’t really feel or notice it. It may be a little bit slower on Xbox One but we are hoping to have full priority between the two machines. The only thing the Xbox One won’t have is stereoscopic 3D as they do not support it yet.” Regardless, I still have confidence that the shooter will run fine on the Xbox One.
