Killzone Shadow Fall Co-op DLC is free, in a sense
Update: Sony PR informed us that the specific note about co-op DLC being free to share has been removed from the Store. Sorry folks.
One of the most important games in PlayStation 4′s launch lineup, Killzone Shadow Fall is just beginning to get a series of updates dedicated to multiplayer modes. First of all, two free maps for the competitive mode will be released soon, and the first implementation of the Clan System will be added to the game in early February with patch 1.09.
Moreover, a co-op mode has been announced, although no date has been set yet. While this mode will be a paid addition to the game for most players, it appears that those of you who have bought the Killzone Shadow Fall season pass (priced at $/€19.99) will be able to share the co-op expansion pack and a maps with a friend for free.
Guerrilla Games is definitely doing all the right things in terms of supporting its game post-launch. All the multiplayer maps will be free, and this unexpected bonus for the season pass will help people find co-op partners.
We’ll keep you posted on the patches and expansions of Killzone: Shadow Fall.
