PS4 sells double XboxOne units (240Kvs126K) in France
Sony‘s lower price-point and superior hardware means that PS4 sells regularly more than its competitors since launch, and so far it shows no signs of slowing down.
Latest figures (up to the end of December) by GFK report that the PS4 has nearly doubled the Xbox One’s units in France. This comes shortly after the PS4 vastly outsold Xbox One in Germany.
This could all change in the next few months, however. Sony France is telling consumers to expect console shortages until March or April, potentially giving the Xbox One a couple of months to catch up, sales-wise. That, coupled with the impending release of Titanfall, means that Xbox One sales are bound to increase, but will it be enough to compete with the impressive figures we’re seeing from the PS4?
