12 Years a Slave writer will now pen a TV Series

The Golden Globe nominated John Ridley, writer for 12 Years a Slave, will bring his success on the small screen very soon. Ridley has seen his pilot offering picked up by ABC. The name of this just born series will be American Crime, a racial drama (like 12 Years a Slave) set in California which will focus on a man charged for murder. The resulting trial will be seen and experienced through the lives of the various characters involved, and it will shake an entire community.
John Ridley will also executive produce, alongside Michael McDonald.
