Gran Turismo 6 Sales Struggle to Keep Up

Since it’s release on December 5th, Gran Turismo 6 has been struggling with moving units. Early sales analysis suggest that GT6 has only sold 300,000 units in the US - almost 1 Million copies less than Gran Turismo 5 sold in the US over the same time period.

 

Perhaps the game struggled to stand out since the majority of the eyes were pointed towards the recently released next-gen systems instead of current-gen titles, or maybe the racing genre has grown stale over the past few years. Hopefully we can have a more complete picture of the sales figures in the near future.
