RPG Kingdom Come Deliverance teaser and first screens
After a few years of work, one of the first next gen games to be shown (although in a very early version) has been properly revealed: its name is Kingdom Come Deliverance, and it will be a historical, open world role playing game.
The developer is Warhorse Studios, a indie studio based in Czech Republic and created by Daniel Vàvra, who previously worked at Illusion Softworks (now 2K Czech) on Mafia and Mafia II. Their aim is to deliberately avoid any kind of fantasy element, from magic to monsters, having a strong historical background instead. As hinted in the Kingdom Come Deliverance teaser below, the game will take place in 1403 A.C., during the Holy Roman Empire era. According to Warhorse, the RPG will have a nonlinear storyline and revolutionary FPS melee combat.
Kingdom Come Deliverance should be released some time in 2015 for PC and “next gen consoles”, which is safe to assume will be PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. More information should be revealed on 20th January, as hinted by the date placed at the very end of the teaser video.
