Quantum Break will let you play as the bad guy

A small gameplay teaser of Quantum Break was shown for the first time during the  VGX Awards 2013. Afterwards, Remedy Entertainment‘s Head of Franchise Development Oskari  Häkkinen answered some questions on Quantum Break (which, by the way, will be paired with a live TV series).

 

First of all, he mentioned that Quantum Break will let players impersonate the “bad guy”, or main villain if you prefer, Paul Serene during certain scenes of the game. This is quite unusual to say the least, and it’ll be very interesting to see how they choose to implement this. A fan of Twitter also asked if the strong focus on storytelling meant that Quantum Break played similarly to Heavy Rain, but Hakkinen said that Remedy has been known for action games since Max Payne and they’ll try to embed a strong plot within an action environment.

Quantum Break is currently slated for a release sometime in 2014, exclusively for Xbox One.
