Geralt turns six;The Witcher series breaks 6 millions

In a press release we just received, CD Projekt Red proudly announced that along with the sixth birthday of Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher series sold over six million copies worldwide. In a statement, Head of Studio Adam Badowski said:

CD Projekt RED was built on the idea that giving gamers more is always worth it. Since the very beginning of our journey we have seen that the approach of inviting gamers into a dialogue with the developer is really important and can shake up the - sometimes self-destructive - business side of games. We hope you’ll stay with us for the years to come and that we will continue to make these changes together

CD Projekt Red also released a nice infographic on the growth of The Witcher series from the first to the upcoming third chapter. Geralt’s face is now composed of 6000 triangles, and overall, the series gained over 279 awards, 79 of which directed merely to the demonstrations of The Witcher 3 at game conventions; we witnessed one at Gamescom and we can confirm that the game looks absolutely glorious. Geralt’s supposed last adventure is releasing some time in 2014 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
