GTA 5 is the most expensive game in history with a total cost of £170 million ($265 million) between making and marketing it.
GTA 5 literally outclass any other videogame budget, as you can see below in this graph coming from WCCFTech:

Will the title be able to repay its costs? Actually, GTA 5 is said to have received already 2.5 million pre-orders ahead of its September 17 launch on PS3 and Xbox 360, so it’s a good start.
