Naoki Yoshida revealed today how the PS4 version of Final Fantasy XIV will be an improvement in almost every way compared to its PS3 counterpart. Thanks to the hardware specs of the PS4, FF XIV won’t only look much better graphically, but will also have features which can only be done on PS4.
For example, remote play with PS Vita is fully supported on the Playstation 4 as well as a Vita companion app which will be released in the near future. On top of that, the PS4 can offer a more PC-like interface and action as the touchpad on the dualshock 4 can serve as an in-game mouse for the PS4.
The PS4 share button can also be used in Final Fantasy XIV to show off to your friends or just random people how you completed a difficult dungeon or how hard you own in PvP. Yoshida strongly reccomends making the move to the PS4 version if you are a PS3 user especially since all the information is hosted on the same servers, therefore transferring characters and other data won’t be necessary.
