Dragon’s Crown was Formerly a Dreamcast Game

According to Vanillaware’s president, George Kamitani, Dragon’s Crown started off as an idea for a game all the way back to 1998 for the short-lived Sega Dreamcast. The similarities can definitely be seen between the art of Dragon’s Crown and the art of Fantasy Earth Zero, a PC game published by Square Enix in which Kamitani worked on as an art director.

You can look forward to pick up Dragon’s Crown on August 6th in the US whereas Europe still has an target release sometime in Autumn.
