Angry Birds Star Wars coming to Xbox and other consoles

The iOS and Android title Angry Birds Star Wars is flapping its way to Xbox in addition to its console counterparts, which is being published by Activision.

Today, Microsoft put up a trailer for the Xbox 360 version of Angry Birds Star Wars on YouTube as seen below.

The trailer showcases the typical gameplay of Angry Birds where you are on a quest to get the eggs back from the nasty Green Pigs, but in a good ole fashion Star Wars style.

According to IGN, the title will have 20 exclusive levels in addition to the already-included 200 levels.

This will mark the first time the series will have multiplayer components. Players can either do co-op with two people or play competitive modes with up to four other players.

Angry Birds Star Wars is also catapulting its way to the Wii U, PlayStation 3, Wii, PlayStation Vita and 3DS. It will have trophies, achievements and leaderboards like the Angry Birds Trilogy did. The game will be priced on each system as follows:

  • Wii U - $49.99
  • Xbox 360 - $39.99
  • PlayStation 3 - $39.99
  • Wii - $39.99
  • PlayStation Vita - $39.99
  • 3DS - $29.99

There is no word on whether or not the game will make use of each console’s unique aspects - Kinect, PlayStation Move, Wii U’s GamePad controller, etc. - but judging by the Angry Birds Trilogy features, it is a strong possibility.

Angry Birds Star Wars will be available on Oct. 29 for the previously mentioned platforms.
