This past weekend at, Capcom appropriately unveiled Ultra Street Fighter IV at EVO 2013.
This edition of Street Fighter IV offers much for die-hards of the series. Ultra is adding five new characters to the roster, six new stages, rebalanced gameplay and original modes.
The five new characters include Poison, Hugo, Elena, Rolento and an unknown character as seen in the screenshots below. With the addition of these new characters, the number of total fighters has increased to 44. Each fighter will also have their own animations and play styles.
Much of these new niches, particularly the rebalancing of the characters, is a result of fans’ feedback on Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. Capcom will provide further details on rebalancing the characters and new game modes in the near future.
If you already own Super Street Fighter IV or Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Ultra can be downloaded for $14.99/€14.99, essentially making the game feel like DLC. If you do not own either of those versions, Ultra will cost $39.99/€39.99 and comes with all previous DLC.
Ultra Street Fighter IV is brawling its way to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in North America and Europe in early 2014.
