Two of the producers responsible for the not so critically acclaimed remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre just acquired the rights for Day of the Dead remake.
George A. Romero‘s 1985 zombie classic will be remade with a rumored budget of less than $20 million and will hit screens next year.
Lati Grobman and Christa Campbell explained that they don’t want to disappoint fans of the original:
”We want to keep it as close to the Romero version as possible to make sure that his fans are happy. These are not going to be zombies climbing walls and doing back flips like in World War Z”.
