Driveclub will allow a maximum of 12 players online

In a Q&A reported by PlayStationer.net, some of the developers working at Evolution Studios confirmed that DriveClub, the upcoming PS4 exclusive racing game, will allow a maximum of 12 players in online matches (just like in Motorstorm).

They also confirmed that the weather effects may be added post-launch, but time of the day can be adjusted already in the game and this feature will be available at launch. Online games will be hosted by dedicated servers (no peer-to-peer issues, then).

 

DriveClub will be also available for free to all PS+ subscribers. This version will have a limited number of cars and tracks, but everything else will be there; users will have the option to upgrade from PS+ version to full version for an (unannounced) price.

We can’t wait to try the game at Gamescom for ourselves.
