The War Z has been renamed to the (slightly) more original Infestation: Survivor Stories

The War Z, a game which rather famously caused a lot of controversy for riding off the success of another, very similar game, by releasing an unfinished alpha build of the game at the height of Day Z‘s hype to garner sales, has just got a title adjustment.

The War Z has taken a lot of flack since release, if the developers are lucky, this title change means some people will forget about the awful press the game has received. But probably not.

Infestation: Survivor Stories is the new title and… That’s it. Nothing else about the Zombie-Survival-MMO has been changed, meaning that the game’s awful critical reception isn’t likely to change.
