The cast of the BBC‘s The Thirteenth Tale screen adaptation added today three high profile stars to its ranks. First and foremost Vanessa Redgrave, veteran stage and screen actress, who will act in the 90 minute drama along with Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones ‘ Sansa Stark) and Antonia Clarke (Lightfields).
Redgrave will be Vida Winter, an English author with a dark and ghostly past, while the two young actresses will be on stage as twin sisters, both involved in the strange events regarding Winter’s childhood home.
The Thirteenth Tale (2006) by Diane Setterfield is a gothic suspense novel, the author’s first published book, and BBC’s adaptation will probably reach our screens around Christmas.
