Road Redemption zooms on Kickstarter

Surprising everyone, DarkSeas Games just launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for Road Redemption, a game inspired by the legendary Road Rash, which I’m pretty sure our elder readers will remember.

The game, currently slated for PC (not only for Windows, but for Mac and Linux OS as well), needs $160K to be produced, but it has already gathered more than 33K in just three days, with 27 days still to go (the campaign will close on May 12).

The developers vowed to retain that essence which enabled the great success of Road Rash, bringing it into the next generation with the additions of environmental destruction, advanced physics and AI and a multiplayer mode where players will be able to create their own gang to rule the streets. You can watch the first trailer below; the release date is tentatively set to August 2014.
