You Can Visit Your Friends’ Base in MGSV:Phantom Pain

Hideo Kojima has a way of casually dropping bombs about his games. In fact, in a video interview with Game Informer, he might have slipped the first hint of online functionality in Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain.
When the journalist asked him about the differences between Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain, Kojima said the following (around 5:30):
In Phantom Pain you will be able to rescue hostages, scientists and whatnot, and they will be transported to the base. The base will then get bigger, it (Phantom Pain, when compared to Ground Zeroes) will have some more gaming elements. It will be an evolution of expanding the base in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, you will be able to go into the base, walk around the base you created, you will be able to walk into your friends’ bases, see their facilities…
Well, that sounds pretty exciting. It’s too bad that Phantom Pain is still a way off, then, but we can get a taste of MGS V with Ground Zeroes next month - have you preorder it and if so, for which platform?
