Starbound developer quizzes fans on possible Playstation port.
The lead developer of upcoming indie title Starbound has taken to the European Playstation forums to ask users if they’d like to see a port of the game on either the PS3, PS4 or Vita. The sidescroller features members of the team that worked on Terraria and features similar yet expanded gameplay, allowing the player to terraform a procedurally generated planet, gathering resources to build a virtually limitless set of weapons and explore a sandbox galaxy. As well as this, there are seven playable races to add variety to the gameplay.
From what I’ve seen, Starbound sets to build upon everything that made Terraria a solid experience. Everything about it seems to be bigger and better and I can see myself sinking in hundreds of hours. Whether or not fans want a port of Starbound on consoles remains to be seen but if this is something that interests you, head over to the site following the link at the top of the article and be sure to comment and get your voice heard and if you haven’t seen the game in action, head over to the main site. The game is currently expected for release some time in 2013 for PC, Mac, Linux and Ouya.
