Mads Mikkelsen’s The Salvation acquired

A few weeks ahead of its Cannes’ screening (in May) the drama western The Salvation with Mads Mikkelsen and Eva Green, which distribution was planned only for Denmark and Sweden, has now also been acquired by France, Greece and Estonia, thanks to Jour2Fête, Chrysalis Films, Hollywood Entertainment and Estin Film. We hope that this is just the beginning for an even more wide distribution for the next movie by Mikkelsen (2012s Best Actor in Cannes).

In the upcoming movie by director Kristian Levring we follow, in 1870s America, a peaceful American settler which is forced to take revenge on his family’s murderer. This event unleashes the fury of a notorious gang leader. His cowardly fellow townspeople then betray him, forcing the man to deal with the outlaws alone.
