It’s a giant Jesus Vs Hell in Helena Handbag
The crazy director of Clerks and Dogma Kevin Smith will soon bring to us (with a production starting approximately at the end of 2014) another weird masterpiece. Smith recently announced this new project through Facebook, originally titled Christzilla but now confirmed as Helena Handbag. The story revolves around mankind, which is forced to team up with Hell to save everyone from extinction at the hands of a rupturing giant Jesus.
“NOBODY’S gonna wanna make that movie, and that’s why we will have to work on a microbudget, but I really desire to return to films that only I would/could ever make. JERSEY GIRL, ZACK & MIRI, COP OUT – while I love them all, these are movies anybody could make. Like ‘EM or hate ‘EM, nobody else but I could’ve (or would’ve) ever made CLERKS. Or CHASING AMY. Or DOGMA. Or RED STATE. Or CLERKS II. Or MALLRATS. Or JAY & SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK. I realized that film isn’t in my blood… MY films are in my blood. And some of ’em are still in there, so I better get ’em out!”.
After Tusk (a horror movie) and Clerks III (which Smith will begin shooting in May 2014) Helena Handbag will be the director’s next movie.
