NFS Rivals has “the Best Handling We’ve Ever Done”
Craig Sullivan, former creative director at Criterion, current creative director at Ghost Studios, is definitely very confident about his studio’s latest creation: Need for Speed: Rivals. In fact, Ghost Studios is mostly comprised of ex-Criterion employees who splintered off and decided to make their own studio to work on the Need for Speed franchise full-time instead of treading new waters with Criterion, so they know what they are doing when it comes to racing games.
After the brilliant Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit reboot in 2010 and Need for Speed: Most Wanted in 2012, the team has been busy working on NFS: Rivals and, accordign to Sullivan, it’s better than ever. The handling is considered ”the best we’ve ever done”, states Sullivan, and assures fans that Rivals will feature the best of both worlds, in other words, the adrenaline-inducing high-speed handling from Hot Pursuit and the precise, low-speed handling from Most Wanted.
Ghost Studios certainly isn’t lacking talent, and if they keep up their quality standard, Need for Speed: Rivals is going to be a must-have for racing fans. The Need for Speed franchise is in good hands.
