Elder Scrolls Online might get more races post launch

In an interview with The Geek Link, Brian Wheeler, Lead PvP Designer at Zenimax Online Studios, said that the team is aware that some races are being left out for The Elder Scrolls Online‘s launch, and they might do “something about it” later.

There are three races per alliance, so there are nine races. But of course we know there are some races we left out and we will see if there is something we can do.

Now, I don’t think there is a lot to do except adding them afterwards, so my guess is this is the only meaningful explanation of this hint. The Elder Scrolls Online will release next spring on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4; at launch, players will be able to choose between Argonian, Dunmer and Nord within the Ebonheart Pact faction, while the Aldmeri Dominion is made up of the Altmer, Bosmer and Khaijiit and the Daggerfall Covenant is comprised of Breton, Orc and Redguard.

I think you mean Altmer instead of Aldmer. The Aldmer are extinct.

You’re right about that. However, Ayleid, which used the same language as Aldmer, might not be completely extinct in the era of Elder Scrolls Online.
