First Homefront 2 images appear online
Homefront 2 didn’t have the smoothest development history, that’s for sure. The first game was developed by Kaos Studios, the makers of Frontlines: Fuel of War, and published by THQ. However, after the THQ collapse, the rights for a sequel were bought by Crytek, which already had a deal with THQ to develop the game and now they’re going to self-publish it.
It looks like the first Homefront 2 images have leaked online thanks to a promotional handout. Clearly graphics isn’t going to be an issue with Crytek and its CryEngine 3 employed, but what about gameplay? I feel that Homefront has a very interesting premise, let’s hope they manage to follow it through. Platforms or a release date haven’t been announced yet, but it’s safe to assume PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while it is likely that the game could launch in 2015.
