Bryan Cranston cast as Lex Luthor in Superman vs Batman

Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston, known for his role as Walter White, a chemistry teacher turned methamphetamine kingpin, is set to continue his villainous streak in the follow up to DC and Warner Bros Pictures’ Man of Steel. Ten years ago, who could have imagined the man who played the goofy yet endearing Hal in Malcolm in the Middle would go on to become everyone’s favorite villain and star in some of the darkest roles in TV and cinema? Since appearing in AMC’s hit drama, Cranston has taken on other villainous roles such as that of Vilos Cohaagen in the Total Recall remake, but the announcement of his casting as Superman’s nemesis seems like stroke of genius.

Cranston has allegedly signed a six movie deal which hints at Lex Luthor’s further involvement in the DC Universe movies as a whole. This positive news comes just days after online outcry at the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman in the same production, a decision that we think isn’t as bad as it seems. Seeing Cranston face off against Affleck’s Batman and Cavill’s Superman will be a sight to behold. Now has anybody heard anything about the mysterious green crystal meth that’s been sweeping the streets of Metropolis? It smells a little like kryptonite…

Zack Snyder’s Batman vs Superman is set for a 2015 release.
