Talking to Kotaku, Call of Duty: Ghost‘s executive producer, Mark Rubin, this year’s Call of Duty is “going to look better” on PC than any other console. This is because, for the first time ever, instead of using assets from the PS3 and 360 version, the PC version will have it’s own assets. Rubin added that the PC version is “actually using an even higher version in many cases than the next-gen consoles, from a texture standpoint”, meaning that if you want the best looking version of Call of Duty: Ghosts, you can save your money on a next-gen console for this year and get it on PC.
It’s good to see Infinity Ward give some love to the PC, especially since it’s happened more than nice that PC gamers got the inferior version of the game on what is clearly the most powerful and flexible system on the gaming market. Hopefully this will be a trend among other developers for future titles.
