Shadow of the Eternals Returns on Kickstarter
Do the words “Shadow of the Eternals Kickstarter” sound familiar to you? That’s because it already happened. Precursor Games already tried to Kickstart the game once before, but it’s high goal and episodic release wasn’t appealing enough people, so the project failed to get backed.
Precursor Games is willing to give Kickstarter another shot, this time with a lower goal of $750,000 and a full game released at once instead of episodically. The Kickstarter page revealed a few more surprises like David Hayter (best known for being the voice of Snake from the Metal Gear series) voicing the main character and a PS4 release if it meeds the yet unannounced stretch-goal.
Shadow of the Eternals is a spiritual sequel to Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, a Gamecube game which was met with high review scores and praised for being an excellent psychological horror game. The spiritual sequel is made by the same minds as the original Eternal Darkness and is looking to bring to the current generation a true horror experience.
