Dragon’s Crown story mode contains 20 hours for each character
Atlus Japan has specified that each character in the Dragon’s Crown story mode will have a 20 hour campaign. Dragon’s Crown is Vanilliaware‘s first major console release since 2009’s Muramasa: The Demon Blade on the Wii. Known for fluid and stylized 2D art, Dragon’s Crown features beat-em up combat with roleplaying elements and six character classes – Fighter, Amazon, Elf, Sorceress, Wizard, and Dwarf.
The announcement of 20 hour story modes follows a a price reveal – $49.99 for Playstation 3 and $39.99 on the Vita. Fans initially balked at the price, given what looked like a comparatively short adventure for the near-fully priced game, though this announcement should put some players at ease. Players with both versions of the game will be able to enjoy cross-platform saves when the game launches July 25 in Japan and August 6 in North America. A release date has not been announced for Europe.
