TEKKEN REVOLUTION gets 1M+ downloads, special event
TEKKEN REVOLUTION surpassed 1 million downloads, as announced by NAMCO BANDAI Game Director and Chief Producer Katsuhiro Harada today. As a thank you, players will be able to participate in a special event to earn extra G, Fight Money, and other manner of in-game currency starting today and lasting until the 8th of July.
Promising more updates as the event progresses, Harada-san laid out all the ‘knowns’ in his TwitLonger:
- 1,000,000 G just for logging in during the week long event
- 5x Gift Points when using Premium Coins / Tickets during ranked and player matches
- 1.5x Fight Money and Experience Points earned during the campaign
For those unfamiliar with the latest installment of the 3D fighter, the biggest difference has to be REVOLUTION‘s free-to-play (F2P) model. Rather than just playing to increase the roster of playable characters and for competition, REVOLUTION let’s players build their favorite characters up around three attributes – Strength, Endurance, and Vigor – tuning them into an even more tailored play style. So, if you ever wanted to make King into a bigger tank than he already is, this is the game for you.
For anyone interested in the math around the 1M+ downloads, since TEKKEN REVOLUTION‘s released 11 June, the F2P game saw about 48,000 new players a day. REVOLUTION is a PSN exclusive.
