State of Decay is the 2nd fastest selling XBLA ever
State of Decay, the first game by Undead Labs (founded by Jeff Strain, previously lead programmer of World of Warcraft and founder of Arena Net), just released on June 5 for Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade. The game has been received by generally favorable reviews so far, and today even better news arose, as the game is reportedly the second fastest selling XBLA game ever. The report came from the Twitter account of Arthur Gies, Polygon’s Editor.
in other news: state of decay is apparently the second fastest selling game in XBLA history behind minecraft, which is awesome.

A rough estimate puts the actual number somewhere around 270,000, which multiplied for the game’s price ( $20) translates in roughly $5,400,000 in revenue in 48 hours. Certainly not bad at all for an indie studio.
State of Decay will also be released for PC, although currently there is no release date. Also, it is supposed to be the foundation for a full fledged zombie MMO by Undead Labs.
