Hannibal renewed for a second season by NBC

NBC has just announced the renewal of their show Hannibal for a second season. The TV series has been one of the best new shows of this season, but it received low ratings which held off the network from the decision of renewing or canceling it until today.

NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Saalke praised the work of Bryan Fuller (Executive Producer), who adapted the Hannibal Lecter story for the occasion and specifically from Red Dragon, succeeding in a new and exciting perspective.

We’re so proud of Bryan’s vision for a show that is richly textured, psychologically complex, and very compelling. There are many great stories still to be told.

The renewal is for another 13-episode season, which is expected to debut in midseason.
