The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Hires Henry Cavill

The big problem regarding the loss of one of the main characters for Guy Ritchie’s The Man from U.N.C.L.E. may have been solved today. On May 25, we notified you Tom Cruise’s defection from the cast, dropping out to focus more on the production of Mission: Impossible V.

Released today is the news that Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill has stepped in to replace Cruise in the upcoming feature film, an adaptation of the classic Sci-fi Spy Tv Series, as the new partner for Armie Hammer.

For those who don’t know what The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is, it was an old American television series broadcast by NBC from 1964 to 1968. The plot follows the exploits of two secret agents named Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin, who work for the United Network Command for Law Enforcement, an anti-evil corporation whose main enemy is the terrorist association known as “Thrush”.
