The much-anticipated Battlefield 4 is, according to GameStop, going to include a brand new, dynamic, real-time feature dubbed “Levolution“. Levolution will allow players to interact with and affect the world map around them. Not many details have been given so far, but it certainly sounds intriguing:
Just when you thought you had the lay of the land, Battlefield 4 introduces Levolution, a brand new way to affect the landscape in real-time using interactive elements. Can’t hit that guy behind cover? Destroy his cover! Feel like that building is a modernist eyesore in what is clearly a Victorian-inspired village? Enhance your favorite architectural styles with TNT!
I don’t know about you, but I prefer my architecture with a healthy dose of boom. It sounds like the levels of destruction seen in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be back!
Battlefield 4 will, of course, also include new weapons, and a new war. If rumors are to be believed, there will be a new level of customization as well, with the player able to make bigger decisions about the style of game they’d like to play. Prefer a tactical air strike? Battlefield 4 has you covered. Or perhaps you’d rather take the swift, stealthy route, sniping your enemies from far away. Battlefield 4 is going to leave those kinds of decisions in your capable hands.
Battlefield 4 is available for pre-order now, with the bonus of the China Rising Expansion Pack. Full release on October 29, 2013, when the game will be available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
