The Byzantium trailer gives hope to the vampire genre
In the post-Twilight era, vampires sparkle in sunlight, sadly enough. Hope comes from a Neil Jordan (director of Interview with the vampire) movie for people like me, horror fans that actually like vampires but that simply can’t stand the ones portrayed on screens in the last 10 years. The movie i’m talking about is Byzantium, already appreciated by both critics and audience in lots of festivals, and it’s now approaching the theatrical release on June 28.
Today a trailer introduces us to the story of a little coastal town that receives the unpleasant visit of two mysterious women. They are not common people, they have lived for over 200 years feeding with humans blood. The main protagonists are portrayed by Gemma Arterton and Saorise Ronan.
